bar buddy program
bar buddy is built around two simple ideas: strong body, sound mind.
bar buddy does not replace traditional programs such as barbri or themis, which deliver the core doctrinal instruction.
instead, bar buddy complements these programs by providing the structured accountability, movement practices, and a peer community that students often lack during bar preparation. our intentional support system helps mitigate burnout, reduce isolation, and create a more sustainable study experience.
strong body
a few weeks into bar prep, when stress levels typically spike, we introduce barre buddy — our 6-week companion movement series that runs concurrently with your bar studies.
claire is a certified instructor who teaches mat pilates-fusion and barre. she designed the series to encourage mindfulness, gentle strength-building, and regulate stress.
you’ll have the option to attend one live, virtual session per week, supporting you through the toughest stretch of bar prep.
the series ends the week before the exam to allow for uninterrupted final review.
sound mind
each day, you’ll follow your traditional bar program’s schedule, studying at your own pace. then, to encourage collaborative review sessions, we place students into tailored sections (up to 10) based on shared interests.
these small, virtual sections allow you to coordinate review sessions, reinforce material, and build consistent accountability. remember, use your section chat however YOU want: for extra review, questions, or just to feel like you aren’t doing this alone.
this approach draws from research showing that structured peer review can improve retention, reduce loneliness, and help students maintain motivation outside of their immediate law school circles.
